Who is Fresh & Sober for?

Any student questioning their alcohol/drug use who’d like a non-judgmental person to talk with.

Any student new to recovery who’d like more information about Alcoholics Anonymous.

Any student new to the area who needs to find Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and fellowship.

Any student already in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous who’d like to reach out to other students and offer their experience, strength, and hope.
- Anyone who has questions about alcoholism, drug use and abuse, recovery, and campus and community resources.
What does Fresh & Sober do?

Provides a mentoring system for students new to recovery or new to UMass Amherst.

Provides a support network for all UMass Amherst students in recovery.

Provides a safe place for students questioning their drinking or drug use to discuss their concerns.

Provides an anonymous space for students to discuss their thoughts, feelings, concerns and ideas on how to improve UMass Amherst for the recovering student.

Works to increase awareness and visibility of campus and community resources.

Works to increase institutional support for students in recovery.
