Director of Athletics Robert Marcum Athletics The Department of Athletics is responsible for the conduct and administration of all varsity intercollegiate sports and Intramural Programs. Conference Affiliations The University holds membership in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Atlantic 10 Conference, Hockey East, and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). All sports are Division I of the NCAA except football, which is I-AA. Corecreational competition is offered in flag football, volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and wallyball. Sport Clubs Sport Clubs offer an alternative means of recreation, competition, and instruction. Sport Clubs are student-run and organized with limited logistical support in terms of facilities, staff, and funding, supplied by the Department of Athletics/Intramurals.
