Offering something for every student, the Intramural Program includes competitive sports for men and women, including flag football, volleyball, softball, soccer, tennis, track and field, ice hockey, wallyball, field hockey, and more. Corecreational competition is offered in flag football, volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and wallyball.

Outdoor facilities include 120 acres of multipurpose fields and 22 tennis courts. Presentation of a validated University ID card allows use of the open play facilities, which include three pools, three handball/squash courts, weight rooms, fitness centers, basketball/volleyball/badminton courts, indoor/outdoor tracks. These facilities are located in three buildings: Boyden, Curry Hicks, and Totman.

The Intramural program is one of the largest student employers on campus. Positions are available for sport officials, recreational facility supervisors, lifeguards, and others.

For more information on Intramurals, stop at the office. We also publish an IM Newsletter, activity calendars, and facilities schedules.

Sport Clubs

Sport Clubs offer an alternative means of recreation, competition, and instruction. Sport Clubs are student-run and organized with limited logistical support in terms of facilities, staff, and funding, supplied by the Department of Athletics/Intramurals.

Student organizations recognized as Sport Clubs are governed by both the rules and regulations of all Recognized Student Organizations (RSO) and the Department of Athletics/Intramurals.
