Disability Services

231 Whitmore, 545-0892 V/TTY

Disability Services works to ensure that reasonable and effective accommodations and support services are in place for students with documented physical, auditory, vision, and/or chronic disabilities. In order to identify the accommodations and determine the appropriate and available resources for these accommodations, students are strongly urged to meet with a consumer manager during the application process.

Advocacy, counseling, and support are provided at all levels of academic and administrative programs and services, including but not limited to: admissions, orientation, housing, transit, enrollment management, class/lab assistants, notetaking, communication, campus access, adaptive equipment, advising, and other non-personal areas.

Consumer managers are skilled in the field of disability services at the post-secondary level, as well as being highly knowledgeable in disability issues, laws, and resources, and are available to meet with prospective and interested students, parents and/or guidance counselors.

Disability Services is open year-round, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling the office, tel. (413) 545-0892 V/TTY. Those who need sign language or oral interpreters can also call (413) 545-0892 V/TTY in advance to request interpreting services for the day of appointment or campus visit.
