Dean of Students Office
227 Whitmore, 545-2684
The
Dean of Students Office helps students
resolve University-related problems which they have been unable to resolve
themselves. Students who need assistance in negotiating the bureaucracy
of a large campus can seek the advice of the Dean of Students and other
full-time staff. The goal of the office is to respond to individual student
needs and concerns. Specific services include:
Counseling and Referral: Assisting and advising
students contemplating withdrawal from or re-enrollment at the University;
providing referrals for academic and personal concerns.
Short-Term Emergency Loans: Offering short-term loans to students to cover unexpected situations.
Student and Family Support: Providing a single
point of contact within the University for students and families in times
of crisis.
Honor Societies: Advising several honor societies,
including the Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society, the Golden Key
national honor society and the Mortar Board senior honor society.
University Judicial System: Implementing and
monitoring the University judicial system to ensure that the rights of
all individuals are respected.
