UCard Debit Account No Longer Valid for Textbook Purchases

August 19, 2015

UMass Amherst has recently transitioned from an on-campus bookstore to an online bookstore managed by Amazon.com.  This new bookstore does not currently accept the UCard debit account as payment.
As a result, students and their families should not deposit funds to the UCard debit account for the purposes of purchasing books, and instead should purchase books from Amazon using an accepted payment method.
For more information about the new online book store and its relation to the UCard system, please see: https://www.umass.edu/ucard/content/new-online-book-store.
