Others: Visitors, guests, and others who do not qualify for a UCard can still obtain a Debit Account of a sorts by obtaining a Guest Card from one of the several Value Ports located accross campus (Campus Center, Hampshire Convience Store, W.E.B. DuBois Library, and the LGRC Physical Sciences Library) You do not need to submit a debit application to purchase one of these cards. However, they have several drawbacks to UCard Debit Accounts:
- Guest cards are anonymous. If you lose or damage your guest card, the funds on that card are lost.
- Similarly, these funds cannot be refunded, even if you leave the university.
- The only way to deposit funds on to a guest card is by making a cash deposit at a Value Transfer Station.
- The cards are magnetic stripe only cards and will not work with campus vending machines.

To open a UCard Debit Account, all you need to do is submit an online UCard Debit Account request. NOTE: Although all incoming students are automatically given a UCard debit account, we have been receiving a large number of requests from students to open accounts. In response to this, the UCard Office has temporarily disabled the online request form. If you feel that you don't have an account for some reason, please contact the UCard Office by phone at (413) 545-0197. Thank you!
