Welcome to UALRC
Founded in 1990 by Dr. Lucy Nguyen, the United Asia Learning Resource Center (UALRC) provides a variety of culturally sensitive support services to Asian and Asian American students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Asian and Asian American students constitute the largest minority group on campus. The UALRC provides leadership training through peer mentoring programs, information about resources on and off campus, tutoring services, academic support and advocacy, and a space for students to get advice on all aspects of university life.
The UALRC also supervises the Yuri Kochiyama Cultural Center, a student-run center that provides cultural and educational programming.
Our students and staff reflect a rich variety of cultures and traditions, which promote the University's commitment to diversity and educational opportunity for everyone.
