The Office of the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement oversees the campus’s Development and Alumni Relations areas and is responsible for the operation of the UMass Amherst Foundation, which leads and supports private fundraising on behalf of the students, faculty and staff of the Amherst campus of the University of Massachusetts.

In addition, the office oversees Advancment Communications, the group that produces the Gateway, the main Web site for the University of Massachusetts Amherst, UMass Amherst magazine, and a variety of print and online publications that promote and advance UMass Amherst.
