Women Chemists Committee (WCC)
The Women Chemists Committee serves the membership of the American Chemical Society. Our mission is to be leaders in attracting, developing and promoting women in the chemical sciences.

Computer Science

Association for Computing Machinery's Committe on Women in Computing (ACM-W)
The mission of ACM-W is to engage in activities and projects that aim to improve the working and learning environments for women in computing. This includes promoting activities that result in more equal representation of women in CS such as mentoring or role modeling, monitoring the status of women in industrial and academic computing through the gathering of statistics, providing historical information about women's accomplishments and roles in CS, and serving as a repository of information about programs, documents and policies of concern to women in CS.

Association for Women in Computing (AWC)
AWC's purpose is to provide opportunities for professional growth through networking and through programs on technical and career-oriented topics. AWC encourages high standards of competence and promotes a professional attitude among its members. Their goals are to promote communication among women in computing, further the professional development and advancement of women in computing, and promote the education of women of all ages in computing.

Committee on the Status of Women in Computing (CRA-W)
The goal of the CRA Committee on the Status of Women in Computing research (CRA-W) is to take positive action to increase the number of women participating in Computer Science and Engineering research and education at all levels.

This web site exists for the purpose of keeping the geographically diverse membership of WE informed of our activities, as well as to form an informational resource for the general public and potential members.

IEEE Committee on Women in Engineering (WIE)
The status and advancement of women in the engineering and science professions is the focus of the WIE membership group. Goals include the development of mentoring and educational programs, the publications of relevant information, and special initiatives.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
The Society of Women Engineers is a non-profit educational and service organization of graduate engineers and women and men with equivalent engineering experience.

Women in Engineering Program Administrators & Advocates Network
WEPAN is a non-profit educational organization founded in 1990. It has a membership of over 500 and is led by a 20-person board of directors from academia and industry. Over $5 million has been raised in support of WEPAN initiatives.

Committee on the Status of Women in Astronomy (CSWA)
The charge of the CSWA is to recommend to the American Astronomical society (AAS) Council practical measures that the AAS can take to improve the status of women in astronomy and encourage their entry into this field.

Committee on the Status of Women in Physics (CSWP)
The Committee on the Status of Women in Physics (CSWP) was founded in 1972 to address the encouragement and career development of women physicists. The Committee consists of nine volunteer members appointed by the President of the American Physical Society. Throughout its more than 25 year history, the CSWP has sponsored a number of studies, programs and publications.
