December 22, 2014

The Town-Gown Steering Committee presented Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy and Amherst Town Manager John Musante with a formal conveyance letter with the final narrative report from U3 Advisors and an evaluation of U3's final report by committee members Rolf Karlstrom and Ken Rosenthal (read the press release). November 18, 2014

The final Town-Gown Steering Committee meeting will take place on Thursday, December 4 from 4-6 pm in the Town Room in Amherst Town Hall. The meeting is open to the public with a period open for questions and comments from the audience.

November 10, 2014

The next Town-Gown Steering Committee meeting will take place on Thursday, November 13 from 4-6 pm in the Town Room in Amherst Town Hall. A copy of the agenda can be found here.

 

November 6, 2014

The final recommendations by U3 Advisors were made on Monday, November 3, 2014 in the Town Room at Town Hall in Amherst. A copy of the recommendations can be found here. The Town Gown Steering Committee will meet again within the next few weeks to discuss next steps following the consultant recommendations. 

 

October 17, 2014

The next Town-Gown Steering Committee meeting will take place on Monday, November 3 from 4-6pm at Amherst Town Hall in the Town Room. June 2014

The next Town-Gown Steering Committee on Thursday, June 26 from 4-6pm in the UMPD Community Room. U3 Advisors will be in attendance and will make a presentation to the committee. The meeting is open to the public with a period open for questions from the audience.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Town of Amherst is pleased to announce the hiring of U3 Advisors of Philadelphia in partnership with Corneil Collaborative and The Cecil Group to oversee the development of a plan to address issues affecting the campus and the community.

February 25, 2014

The Town-Gown Steering Committee is pleased to announce that three consultants have been invited to interview with the Steering Committee on Tuesday, March 4 from 4 - 8 pm in the Amherst Room (room 1009) of the UMass Campus Center. Each interview is scheduled for 50 minutes followed by a 10–minute break. While the interviews are open to the public, there will be no public comments or questions during the interviews or discussion. All questions and comments may be submitted to the committee via email at Buffone@admin.umass.edu or ziomekd@amherstma.gov

On Tuesday, March 11th from 5 - 6:30 pm in the UMPD Community Room,  the committee will hold a follow-up meeting that will include 30 minutes of public comment. The committee is expected to complete its discussion at that meeting and make a recommendation to UMass Chancellor Kumble Subbawamy and Amherst Town Manager John Musante.
