Matthew Richards designs lighting for theater,
dance, opera and music. Recent projects include the premieres
of Duncan Sheik’s musical Whisper
House, directed by Peter
Askin, the musical Click! Clack! Moo! directed by John Rando,
and Conor McPherson’s Port
Authority, directd by Henry
Wishcamper. His work has been seen in theaters, including: The
Alliance, The Atlantic, Baltimore’s Center Stage, Brooklyn
Academy of Music, Cleveland Playhouse, Dallas Theater Center,
Ford’s Theatre, The Goodman, The Huntington, Lincoln Center,
MCC, The Lucille Lortel, The New Victory, New York Stage and
Film, The Old Globe, Playwrights Horizons, The Public, Second
Stage, Skylight Opera Theater, Williamstown Theatre Festival,
Westport Playhouse, Wolf Trap Opera, and Yale Rep, among many
others. He is a 1995 graduate of The University of Massachusetts
at Amherst, and received his M.F.A. from The Yale School of Drama
in 2001. |
