Michelle Hendrick is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Trinity College where she teaches acting and directs. Recent projects at Trinity include directing Romeo and Juliet and Eurydice. Michelle was an Associate in Opera at The Hartt School of Music from 1998-2008 where she taught acting to undergraduate and graduate students in the vocal department. Directing credits at Hartt include the east coast premiere of Stephen Paulus' The Three Hermits and Offenbach's The Lantern Marriage. Directing credits for Intermezzo Opera Festival include The Chatterboxes and The Lantern Marriage. Michelle currently serves as the artistic director for Hartford Opera Theater. With HOT, Michelle has directed The Telephone, A Hand of Bridge, Trouble in Tahiti, The Coming of War, Fall Back, Tom Sawyer in collaboration with the Mark Twain House, Hansel and Gretel, The Old Maid and the Thief, Bastien and Bastienne and The Impressario. others. Michelle has worked with Hartford Stage Company, Theaterworks,
PlayMakers Repertory Company, The Ko Festival and New World Theater.
She has a BA from the University of MA and an MFA from the University
of North Carolina, Professional Acting Training Program. She
lives in Hartford with husband Christopher Baker and their two
