Experienced as a reporter, copy writer and editor. Serves the department as publicist, writes the semi-annual department newsletter, oversees the website, and is responsible for outreach and development. In addition to her work at UMass, is the copy editor of Gastronome, the magazine for United States membership of the Chaîne des Rotisseurs, and is a frequent contributor to the Daily Hampshire Gazette. Holds the rank of third-degree black belt in Shorin Ryu Okinawan Karate at Northampton Karate, where she also serves as a senior instructor.
