Anna-Maria Goossens is the Department of Theater Public Relations Director, overseeing its print and online publications, development efforts and outreach programs.

In addition to her work at UMass, she is the copy editor of Gastronome, the magazine for United States membership of the Chaîne des Rotisseurs and writes free-lance for other publications.

She holds the rank of third-degree black belt in Shorin Ryu Okinawan Karate at Northampton Karate, where she serves as a senior instructor; she also teaches karate at the Hampshire Regional YMCA.
