MFA Open House
MFA OPEN HOUSE AT UMASS THEATER
Scheduled Nov. 8-10; you are welcome to attend the entire three days or just come for one or two days. See the schedule here (PDF).
RSVP with your dates on campus, your area of interest, and the events you’d like to attend by emailing Graduate Program Director Prof. Harley Erdman by Friday October 27.
All open house events are FREE.
Our next admission deadline is January 15, 2018, for the class to enter Fall of 2018.

Come to the UMass Theater Graduate Program Open House Nov. 8-10
The University of Massachusetts at Amherst Department of Theater offers outstanding, hands-on training and mentorship in a supportive community, with extensive production opportunities in Directing, Dramaturgy, Scenic Design, Lighting Design, and Costume Design. All MFA students are fully supported via TA-ships and tuition waivers.
UMass Theater Graduate Program Director Harley Erdman invites all who are interested in furthering their theater education to an Open House for prospective MFA students this November.
The Open House will take place on Nov. 8-10, with prospective students invited to attend all three days or whatever portion they prefer. The agenda includes an opportunity to tour the Department of Theater, sit in on classes, meet faculty and students, and attend a performance of our production of Runaways. (A full schedule of events is available for download as a PDF.)
We are currently accepting applications in Directing, Dramaturgy, Scenic Design, Lighting Design, and Costume Design for the class to enter Fall 2018, which has an admission deadline of January 15, 2018.

Amtrak trains run daily to Northampton, MA, which is a 15-20 minute cab ride from UMass.
The nearest airport is Bradley International in Connecticut (BDL).
