DATA PRESENTATION

Manual • Example

Gathering data is not a end in itself: to effect positive change in your watershed, you need to share your results with various audiences in a persuasive way. Our manual will guide you through all the steps of data presentation and give you numerous ideas and examples. Below you will find an example of a PowerPoint presentation that a group put up on their web site. Finally, we provide an Excel program template to chart macroinvertebrate results (Template for Charts, Example file for charts).

Follow this link for an example of using a PowerPoint presentation to present volunteer monitoring results. It's easy to put it on the web:

Our example shows how to use background information, pose the questions to be answered by monitoring, describe the project, and chart data results. Note the heavy use of photographs to make the presentation more attractive: Remember to take lots of photographs during the monitoring season!!
