Preparing for the
Registered Tax Return Preparer Exam

The exam preparation course is a one-day review taught by Cheryl Morse, EA. Cheryl has been a tax practitioner since 1982 and an Enrolled Agent since 1996. She is a partner in Emerging Business Partners, Incorporated, which prepares over 1500 tax returns in three offices. Cheryl graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in accounting from Bentley College in Waltham, MA. In addition to instructing for the UMASS Tax School, and across the country for the National Association of Tax Professionals, she educates taxpayers through a variety of community outreach events, and by writing articles for Forbes magazine. She represented the Northeast Region of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel, as Chair and is a contributor to the development of the IRS EA Examination.

Eight CPE credits are available. (Note: under IRS guidelines, a tax return preparer can obtain continuing education credit for completing an approved Registered Tax Return Preparer competency examination preparation program until December 31, 2013. A maximum of ten hours will be allowed and it will be qualified as a program under other federal tax law. Enrolled Agents and Enrolled Retirement Plan Agents will not receive continuing education credit for completing any test preparation programs.)
