Community Policing and Law Enforcement

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Police Department (UMPD) is working collaboratively with members of the community, and students in particular, to identify and solve campus issues of safety and security.

During major sporting events, UMPD will continue to emphasize accessibility through educational efforts and increased visibility. The Community Outreach Officer will continue to meet with students in their residence halls to discuss issues and concerns, including soliciting suggestions related to these events.
