The following offices can assist faculty, staff and graduate teaching assistants with issues related to intevention, policies and safety:

Dean of Students Office - Phone: 413-545-2684

The Dean of Students Office can:

• provide guidance to faculty on resources available for undergraduate students
• provide suggestions and guidance for dealing with challenging classroom situations
• assist faculty members in finding appropriate responses to disruptive or intimidating behavior

Graduate School/Dean’s Office - Phone: 413-545-5271

The Graduate School/Dean's Office provides similar resources as Dean of Students for graduate students.

Emergency: 911
University Police can:

• provide immediate emergency services for threatening or dangerous behavior
• provide assistance in assessing security and safety of classroom
• provide assistance when dealing with potentially volatile student

Ombuds Office - Phone: 413-545-0867

The Ombuds Office can:

• provide mediation services
• provide assistance in resolving problems or conflicts between students and faculty
• provides suggestions and guidance for dealing with challenging classroom situations
