How to Visit
Campus Visits and Interviews
The best way to learn more about the Stockbridge School is to visit the campus and meet with the Stockbridge Admissions Counselor who will arrange classroom visits with our faculty and students. Please contact the Stockbridge School Office at 413-545-2222 or stockbridgeschool@nre.umass.edu to arrange your campus visit.
Student-led walking tours provide an overview of academic programs and campus life. Tours last 75 minutes, and leave from the Robsham Memorial Visitor's Center at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. every day, except Christmas week, legal holidays, including Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend, and weekends during the months of June and July. Please note that during the summer months access to academic buildings is limited, since school is not in session. For more information, call Campus Tours at (413) 545-4237.
Fall Open House
In the fall, UMass Amherst hosts the Fall Open House for prospective students. The Fall Open House is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Stockbridge School and UMass. Prospective students are able to meet faculty and students, get information about housing, financial aid, and student activities, and take a campus tour.
New Students Orientation (NSO)
Incoming students must attend the summer Orientation session, held usually in early June, prior to their first fall semester. This one-day, overnight orientation not only allows students a chance to meet with Stockbridge faculty members who assist students in selecting and pre-registering for fall semester courses, but also gives students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the campus and its facilities. Information sessions on housing options, financial aid, and various aspects of campus life, as well as campus tours, are available. On the final day of orientation, parents are invited to attend a special program in order to acquaint them with Stockbridge and the University. Please note: new students are charged a mandatory, non-refundable New Students Program fee for this counseling session, whether or not they attend. For more information, visit their website.
