Eighty-Second Commencement
On behalf of the Program coordinators Wes Autio, Doug Cox, Mike Davidsohn, Scott Ebdon, Suzanne Mente, Dennis Ryan, Pat Vittum, the faculty, Kathy Conway and Liz Wiernasz, I extend our sincerest congratulations and best wishes to you on your graduation from the Stockbridge School.
Commencement is a day to celebrate your success at Stockbridge. It is a day to acknowledge your personal growth, academic achievements, extra curricular activities, special friendships, and other aspects of college life. Today is the day one journey ends and an exciting and challenging new one begins. Enjoy this exceptional day. Take the time today to honor the special people who have made a difference in your life, perhaps those people are with you today celebrating your success. To the others not present, send them a short note acknowledging their contributions to your life.
Your two years at Stockbridge have prepared you for a career. It has been a time of preparation for the next chapter, one that will revolve around your personal plans and aspirations. Life should be a continuum of goals, opportunities, and learning experiences that increase your abilities and move you forward. Remember: learning never ends; it is a lifetime endeavor. May your journey be a source of growth, pride, satisfaction and joy.
When you leave this afternoon, we hope that you will feel part of a special group - a graduate of the Stockbridge School. Please keep in contact with the school and the faculty special to you. Let us know about your career, where you are, and how other aspects of your life evolve. Remain involved with the school, become an active alumnus/a.
Once again, congratulations on achieving your goals as a graduate of the Stockbridge School. We extend our very best wishes for great success in your future.
