Plant yourself in the Perfect Career
At Stockbridge School you can study one of four concentrations in Horticulture. If you are interested in greenhouse management or growing bedding plants, potted plants, or perennial flowers, Floriculture Crop Production is the concentration to study. Choose Management of Woody Plants if you are interested in woody plant production or nursery or garden center management. Retail Floral Design allows you to combine floriculture and design skills to create flower arrangements and other floral decorative items. And students in General Horticulture elect courses in a range of horticulture topics to design their own focus of study.

Horticulture is the science and art of growing flowers, ornamental plants, fruits, and vegetables. If you like the idea of combining art and science, enjoy working with plants and people, or wish to beautify the environment, then a career in Horticulture would be very satisfying to you.
