Freshmen
On-line Math Placement Exam is required of all students, unless you have transferable college credit. You must complete this test to be placed into the proper math class. If you have not taken the exam, you can take it online.
Having a roommate is a new experience. Be prepared to talk about preferences such as when the lights should be turned off, definition of a "clean" room, establishing an agreement on when guests are allowed, and how space is allocated within the room. Have this discussion earlier rather than later.
Seniors
Arbor, Fruit & Vegetable, Horticulture. and Landscaping students: check your fall schedule to make sure 4 (four) credits are listed for your internship.
Equine students should have either 2 credits (2 months) or 3 credits.
Turf students should have 3 credits listed for their internship.
If you need to change the number of your internship credits, contact Elizabeth Wiernasz in the Stockbridge School Office.
Be sure you turn in your internship report by the deadline to your program coordinator. Report outlines for each major are located at http://www.umass.edu/stockbridge/current/coopwork.html
Clubs & Meetings
Student Board of Directors (SBD): This is a group of students who help with recruiting activities and plan social events. Meetings are held every other Thursday. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, October 2 at 5:30 p.m. in 217 Stockbridge Hall. Join us for pizza and soda and find out how you can help out at Stockbridge School events. This group is open to all Stockbridge students and is a great activity to include on your resume. Contact Kathy Conway or Elizabeth Wiernasz in the Stockbridge Office if you would like to be a member.
Basketball or golf teams: interested students should contact Coach Jason Germain at jag@admin.umass.edu, (413) 577-0267 or 308 Mullins Center.
