Caps, Gowns, Tassels

Caps, gowns, and tassels, all prepaid by your Senior Fee, will be distributed as follows:

Monday, May 3 -> Friday, May 21
9:00 a.m. -> 4:00 p.m.
Textbook Annex

Please bring your ID card.

Commencement Ball

Graduating seniors are invited to attend a formal evening of music and dancing, gourmet food and refreshments, Friday, May 21, at the Student Union. Rides in a horse drawn carriage around campus will also be featured. Tickets must be purchased in advance. To order tickets, please call the Alumni Office, 413-545-2317, or visit www.UmassAlumni.com.

Diplomas

Diplomas will be mailed after grades have been processed; anticipated mailing date is August 31st.

If you would like your full middle name printed on your diploma, please inform the Stockbridge School Office, 115 Stockbridge Hall, no later than May 5th.

Please confirm your mailing address with the Stockbridge School Office.

Eligibility

Students who completed their degree requirements in January 2004 and those who anticipate completing them by May 2004 are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony.

If you graduated in January 2004 and wish to attend the May 2004 ceremony, please contact Elizabeth Wiernasz, 115 Stockbridge Hall by April 23rd.

If you are scheduled to graduate after the Fall 2004 term, and wish to attend the May 2004 ceremony, please contact Director Nancy Garrabrants, 115 Stockbridge Hall by April 23rd.

Questions regarding degree requirements and/or graduation credits should be immediately directed to Director Nancy Garrabrants.

Photographs

Professional photographers will take pictures, available for purchase, as graduates receive their diplomas.

Personal photography/videotaping is permitted provided it does not interfere with the ceremony.

Reception

A reception will be held at Stockbridge Hall immediately following the ceremony.

Rehearsal

A MANDATORY rehearsal will be held on Saturday, May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in Bowker Auditorium, Stockbridge Hall. The seating plan for candidates in each major will be arranged during rehearsal.

Disability Services

Wheelchair entry into Stockbridge Hall is located on the south side of the building. Lift equipped van service will be available upon request. Please call 413-545-0892 V/TTY for reservations.

Food Services

The Campus Center Coffee Shop will be open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Most area restaurants will also be open. Reservations should be made as soon as possible.

Parking

Vehicles may be parked either in Lot 65 or the Campus Center Parking Garage, free of charge.

Souvenirs

Stockbridge hats, sweatshirts, and T shirts will be available for purchase in the Stockbridge School Office prior to and immediately following the ceremony.

I-91 south to Exit 25; at end of ramp turn left; follow road to intersection; turn right onto Routes 5 and 10 south; go 1 mile, then left onto Route 116 south, then 8 miles to UMass exit; left at the end of ramp onto Massachusetts Avenue; left at intersection (Commonwealth Avenue); right at next intersection (Campus Center Way); follow road to top of hill; right to Parking Garage or left to Lot 65.

From the South

I-91 north to Exit 19; right onto Route 9 east; go approximately 4.5 miles to Route 116 north (left turn at lights); go 1 mile to UMass exit; right at end of ramp onto Massachusetts Avenue; left at intersection (Commonwealth Avenue); right at next intersection (Campus Center Way); follow road to top of hill; right to Parking Garage or left to Lot 65.

From the East

I-90 west (MA Pike) to Exit 4 (W.
