Minitab 16 Site License
Minitab 16 is now available through the University of Massachusetts site license. The license is only valid for installation on University-owned machines, at any UMass campus, and requires a minimum purchase of 5 licenses. Site licenses require an annual fee due in June. Students can get Minitab with a 6 or 12 month license through the Minitab OnTheHub. Single copies of Minitab with a perpetual license is available to students and faculty through both the Minitab OnTheHub and the University Store.
Minitab software acquired through the OIT site license requires the installation of the Minitab License Manager. The License Manager can be installed on the same machine as Mintab, or on a network server.
If you wish to get Minitab under the University of Massachusetts site license program, please contact the OIT Help Center at 545-9730 or stop by A109 LGRC (Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.). You must have your license before you install Minitab. If you want to try before you buy, get the 30-day free trial at http://www.minitab.com/en-US/products/minitab/free-trial.aspx. When you are ready for your permanent software, you will need to re-install, using the download link below.

Compatibility with Minitab 15
Minitab License Manager:Minitab Licnese Manager is the same as was used for Minitab 15. If you already have it installed for Minitab 15, you do not need to re-install it.
Minitab 15 Worksheets and Projects can be opened in Minitab 16.
Minitab 16 Worksheets and Projects cannot be opened in Minitab 15. However, using Minitab 16 you can save projects or worksheets in Minitab 15 format. Any features of a Minitab 16 Project that are not supported in Minitab 15 will not be available when the project is opened using Minitab 15.
