PPA 297P: Intro to Public & Nonprofit Management

This course will introduce the students to leadership and management in the public and nonprofit sector. Students will learn about the complex issues faced by public and nonprofit agencies and how these organizations solve them through effective leadership and management. Some of the concepts that will be covered in the course include leadership skills needed to solve complex problems, developing organizational culture to handle change, motivating employees to be productive, innovation and team building, and political issues faced by these organizations.
