Pamela Dutta, a Masters of Public Policy candidate at the UMass School of Public Policy, has been named to a campus task force convened to coordinate responses to executive orders and national policies emerging as part of the new Trump administration.
Dutta is currently the associate director of the Student Legal Services Office at UMass Amherst.
The task force will be chaired by John McCarthy, vice provost for graduate education and dean of the Graduate School.
Chancellor Kumble R. Subbaswamy announced the task force in the wake of federal actions related to immigration status and other issues that might impact students and faculty on the UMass campus. Twelve members of the UMass community in addition to Dutta will also serve on the task force.
A full story about the task force is available from the UMass News Office.
