Schmidt Speaker at 2nd Annual UMass Social Entrepreneurship Day

Professor Betsy Schmidt

SPP Professor of Practice Betsy Schmidt, an expert on social-mission businesses and nonprofit law, will be a panelist at this year's Social Entrepreneurship Day at UMass Amherst. The day-long event will take place in the Cape Cod Lounge, in the Student Union, on campus.

Schmidt's panel "Pursuing Business and Social Goals Through Hybrid Organizing," is from 1:45-3:00 p.m.

Social entrepreneurship offers the opportunity to tackle important social issues through business ventures. This day-long event provides students and other interested community members the chance to learn from experts who have special insights into creating innovative solutions to society's most pressing social problems, including those who have developed their own social enterprises.

This event is organized by the Berthiaume Center for Entrepreneurship, a unit of the Isenberg School of Management.
