The School of Public Health and Health Sciences and the Western Massachusetts Health Equity Network are hosting the 3rd Western Massachusetts Health Equity Summit on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm in the UMass Amherst Campus Center. The Summit will bring together practitioners, students, planners and community leaders from across sectors and the four counties of Western Massachusetts. Participants will work, learn, and take important steps toward creating greater health equity in Western MA.

Co-Emcees: Elizabeth O’Gilvie from the Springfield Food Policy Council & Gardening the Community and School of Public Policy alumna Phoebe Walker from the Franklin Regional Council of Governments

  • Participate in unique networking and collaboration opportunities
  • Attend workshops and roundtables on policy, power, the toxicity of racism, and data & analysis challenges
  • Plenary Speakers include Pablo Ruiz from RaiseUp Massachusetts and Gwendolyn VanSant from the Berkshires’ Multicultural BRIDGE who will speak about: What do we do Next? New Ideas to Move Health Equity Forward
