SPECIAL PROGRAMMING
DRAMAWORKS Interactive Business Theatre
DramaWorks will explore issues of the workplace that influence health, productivity
and the bottom line through live dramatic play and improvisation. DramaWorks
has performed at national and international conferences.
ONAWUMI JEAN MOSS, Storyteller
Onawumi Jean Moss, storyteller and educator, will help weave a story of this
conference from beginning to end. Her nationally notable storytelling gifts
uplift the human spirit as she seeks to celebrate cultural differences and at
the same time, encourage kinship. She is also Associate Dean of Students at
Amherst College.
ANIMA, Brazilian Music Ensemble
ANIMA, a 6-member vocal and instrumental ensemble from Sao Paulo, Brazil will
be performing at this conference as part of it first U.S. tour. We are very
pleased and excited to present this group who works with early European and
traditional and popular Brazilian music on historical instruments. Their instruments
include harpsichord, dulcimer, folk fiddles, recorders, guitar, and drums. Their
provocative and richly diverse music will be performed three times during the
conference.
HORACE CLARENCE BOYER, Musician
Horace Clarence Boyer , professional music soloist, chorale director and Professor
of Music, will help close the conference on Tuesday afternoon. Dr. Boyer has
toured and performed nationally and internationally with jazz and gospel music.
