Housing Information
Housing IS NOT included with the registration fee. You have several housing
options:
The conference will be held at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in and
around the campus conference center in mid-campus. The conference staff and
planning committee are hopeful that conference participants will choose housing
on campus because of its convenience and affordability.
Campus housing is ensured to be available and it is accessible and within walking
distance to all conference activities.
There are two on-campus housing options:
1. A limited number of hotel rooms are available at the Campus Center Hotel, site of the conference. The rates are $65.00/night for a single; $75.00/night for a double. You must call 413-549-6000 ext. 7714 to reserve your room. Ask for the conference room block number #246. These rooms will be held for this conference until May 20th.
2. Residence Hall Rooms must be reserved and prepaid with your conference registration. Residence Hall Rooms are available for the nights of June 3, 4, 5, and 6. A typical residence hall room is arranged for double occupancy providing each resident with a bed, dresser, desk and chair. These rooms are not air-conditioned. Public bathrooms are centrally located on each floor and are cleaned daily. Linen services are provided. The rates are $26.00/night for a single; $22.00/night for a double. If you want to share a room, your registration form must be submitted with your desired roommates registration form.
Off-campus housing is available but limited. You are responsible for your own
transportation. A car would be your best source of transportation. Parking is
available at the campus center for $4.00 a day. Rental cars are available at
Bradley International Airport if you fly into Hartford, CT, the closest airport.
Please contact the Amherst Chamber of Commerce at www.amherstcommon.com
for area motel/hotel/Bed and Breakfast information. Most motels/hotels are not
within walking distance of the campus. Buses run on a limited schedule at this
time of year.
