Academics

The Department of Public Health offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Public Health. The degree programs in Public Health prepare a candidate to study'and apply Public Health from a multidisciplinary approach. Applications are in the biomedical, health, and public-health fields in the public and private arenas.

Programs of graduate study: Biostatistics, Community Health Educ-ation, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, and Health Policy and Management. M.P.H., M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs of study and research are planned on an individual basis between the student and the academic advisor. Courses are taken within the department. The M.P.H degree is also offered online for health care professionals working currently in the field.
