Department of Public HealthMissionThe Department of Public Health educates students on campus and health care professionals online to promote health and prevent disease. It prepares students to work with the diverse populations and to serve in a variety of settings in government, nonprofit organizations, businesses and communities. The Department offers B.S., M.S., M.P.H., and Ph.D. degrees in public health. It provides graduate students with a background in public health and with specific competencies in biostatistics, community health education, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, and health policy and management. The Department also provides an undergraduate degree in public health sciences, an online MPH degree program for health care professionals, and an MPH degree program at UMass Worcester.
