Study Abroad FAQ
Study abroad can be a rich learning experience. We encourage students to take the opportunity to travel, live, and study in other contexts. UMass Amherst’s International Program Office has a list of some public health study abroad programs. The IPO is a good place to start searching for programs. If a program is not specific to public health, you may be able to find collateral field courses or equivalent foundation courses that can be applied to the major. If you want to receive credit for courses, you must gain approval from Dr. DiFulvio prior to going abroad. Plan accordingly.
