The Department of Public Health offers undergraduate and advanced graduate programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Master of Science (M.S.), Master of Public Health (M.P.H.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Public Health. The degree programs in Public Health prepare a candidate to study and apply Public Health from a multidisciplinary approach. Applications are in the biomedical, health, and public health fields in the public and private arenas.
Programs of graduate study include five areas of concentration: Biostatistics, Community Health Education, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, and Health Policy and Management. M.P.H., M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs of study and research are planned on an individual basis between the student and the academic advisor. Courses are taken within the department.
In addition, we offer a fully 100% Online M.P.H. degree for health care professionals working currently in the field, and a Worcester campus blended M.P.H. degree program. The Department also collaborates with the Center for Public Policy and Administration for a dual degree Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) and Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Health Policy and Management.
