Allison received her Master's degree in Exercise and Sports Science from East Carolina University. She received her Ph.D. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Biomechanics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Allison is a Postdoctoral Research Associate with Dr. Joe Hamill. She is currently investigating the mechanisms of running related injuries and the biomechanical differences between forefoot and rearfoot running patterns. Allison is also examining the advantages of using non-linear dynamics analysis techniques to determine injury mechanisms of the lower extremity.
