Research Description: 

One major area of my collaborative research is prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, oncogenic HPV infection and other sexually transmitted infectious diseases (STDs) in Africa. Another major area of my recent collaboration is ophthalmology. My statistical methodological work is always motivated by real-world problems arising from my collaborative studies and focuses on longitudinal, survival and correlated data.
