Massachusetts Nutrient Data Bank (MNDB)

The Department of Nutrition hosts the Massachusetts Nutrient Data Bank (MNDB), a computer-assisted system used to evaluate dietary intake information for research and educational programs. The USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference is the principal source of nutrient information used by the MNDB but is supplemented with manufacturer’s data when appropriate.

The MNDB also provides services related to the analysis of blood (serum or plasma) and urine samples for selected nutrient and bone status biomarkers. For a complete list of currently available assays and fee schedule, please contact Dr. Richard Wood.
