Department of Nutrition Health and Nutrition Diversity Scholars program

HANDS (Health and Nutrition Diversity Scholars) is a special program designed to increase the diversity of students in the field of nutrition. HANDS Scholars will participate in a 1-credit Scholars Seminar each semester, and have access to department and campus-based supports including tutoring, mentorship and career counseling. HANDS Scholars will also participate in nutrition conferences and other special programs for professional development, including workshops, self-assessment programs, research and education opportunities, as well as annual dinners and other events for a small group of committed students.  Click on the Scholars link above to learn more about Scholar activities through presentations and the Scholars' blog.

The Department of Nutrition is seeking to identify qualified and enthusiastic students who wish to participate in the HANDS Scholarship program beginning Spring semester, 2011.
