Dietetic Internship

The Department of Nutrition, in cooperation with the Division of Continuing and Professional Education, offers the Dietetic Internship, an 11-month post-baccalaureate supervised practicum program.  The University of Massachusetts-Amherst accepts up to 10 interns a year, who rotate among clinical, community and foodservice sites in western and central Massachusetts for approximately 20-24 hours per week.  This experience, accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly American Dietetic Association), provides interns with the practical skills necessary to become Registered Dietitians.
