UMass Extension Nutrition Educator III - Full Time Position
UMass Extension has an opening in Worcester for a Nutrition Educator III with its Nutrition Education Program. Responsibilities include: providing leadership for the UMass Extension office in Worcester; developing, leading, supervising, and managing the UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program in the Worcester area; seeking funding opportunities; managing program budgets; hiring, training, and supervising nutrition education and clerical staff; and working in partnership with other agencies and organizations.
Minimum qualifications: Masters degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field plus 3 years relevant professional experience OR Bachelors degree and 5 years relevant experience; excellent interpersonal and group process skills; demonstrated ability to participate effectively in professional team efforts with diverse groups of people; knowledge and demonstrated ability to implement education theories and practices with diverse audiences; proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software and use of internet for research and communication; ability to travel for local, regional and statewide activities. Continuation of appointment beyond 9-30-10 is contingent on the availability of funds. Starting salary range is between $46,700 and $52,500. Position includes full benefits.
