Wexler is invited guest at Norway circumpolar workshop

Lisa Wexler, Associate Professor of Community Health Education, recently traveled to Tromsø, Norway as an invited guest for a workshop there on mental health and indigenous suicide in circumpolar communities. The workshop, at the Fram Centre, an interdisciplinary research center associated with the Norwegian government, is part of a Canadian Institutes for Health research grant called “The Evidence-Base for Promoting Mental Wellness and Resilience to Address Suicide in Circumpolar Communities.” The meeting was hosted by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health and the Sustainable Development Working Group of the Arctic Council.
