SPHHS to host Career Networking and Development Conference

The SPHHS will host a Career Networking and Development Conference on Tuesday, March 22nd in the Campus Center Auditorium and adjacent rooms. This daylong event is designed to help prepare students for the transition from college into the workforce. The event will begin with a morning panel discussion on big picture employment in the fields of public health and the health sciences, and include representatives from CommunicateHealth, Continuum Performance Center, and Shriner's Hospital.

The morning will also feature roundtable networking sessions and vendor booths, providing students with opportunities to speak with a vareity of health-oriented organizations on topics ranging from employment and internship opportunities to networking and resume-building strategies.

Vendors announced for the morning session include:

  • Continuum Performance Center;
  • Cooley Dickinson Health Center;
  • Massachusetts Department of Public Health;
  • Ramboll ENVIRON US Corporation;

  • Shriner's Hospital;
  • and many more!

The afternoon session will feature a special keynote presentation on public health at the federal, state, and local levels followed by a series of career workshops, panel discussions, and mock interviews organized by UMass Amherst Career Services, the Departments of Nutrition and Kinesiology, and CMASS.
