The School of Public Health and Health Sciences held its Senior Recognition Ceremony on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Fine Arts Center on the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. The SPHHS ceremony recognized its undergraduate Class of 2018, which this year welcomed 724 graduating seniors into its ranks.
The university awarded approximately 5500 bachelor's degrees and conferred over 1900 graduate degrees during the Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement ceremonies held on Friday, May 11th. CNN anchor Jake Tapper delivered the commencement address to approximately 25,000 guests and graduates in attendance. Public Health Sciences major Jessica Furtado, who was presented with the 21st Century Leader Award, was among the students honored during the event.
