Jessica He, Public Health Sciences '13, is profiled in the Spring 2015 issue of UMass Amherst, the campus's alumni magazine. He, who has been working in the Peace Corps in the African nation of The Gambia since she graduated, has been traveling to remote villages as part of an Ebola education campaign that aims to reach the population through in-person meetings.
"The majority of the people in these villages cannot read or write," she says. "Therefore they are unable to fully decipher posters about Ebola."
