Public Health Sciences alumna and fitness expert Eliza Shirazi '13 was recently interviewed in The Improper Bostonian magazine about her company Kick It by Eliza and entrepreneurial spirit. Kick It by Eliza, the Boston-based kick-boxing company focused on empowering and strengthening women, was originally created and taught on the UMass Amherst campus during Shirazi’s time attending the School of Public Health and Health Sciences.

Since graduating in 2013, Shirazi has grown her fitness class into an empire, certifying over 100 instructors to teach her method and has been featured in publications like Well+Good, Seventeen and SELF. The interview focuses on Shirazi’s journey, influences, growth and vision for the future.
