Aline Gubrium, Associate Professor of Community Health Education, recently co-authored a blog on the Huffingtonpost about the U.S. Senate's budget lack of funding to help young families. Gubrium and co-author Elizabeth Krause of the UMass Amherst Department of Anthropology relate their research in the Hear Our Stories study to the funding cuts affecting young parents. "Congress must provide opportunities for young families and organizations that advocate for young families to provide testimony so that they know and understand the devastating impact of these cuts in their lives as they contemplate budget allocations," they write.
