Since 2003, the Public Health Informatics Conference (formerly known as the PHIN Conference) has been an important venue to convene all levels of governmental public health providers (local, state, federal, and international), researchers, vendors, and domestic/international public health and healthcare organizations to address public health informatics and information technology infrastructure and workforce capacity needs.

The conference provides leadership and guidance for public health organizations navigating through an era of interoperable and integrated health information exchange. With the rapid implementation of global healthcare IT initiatives and accelerated developments, there is no better time than now to invest in public health informatics. The conference provides a venue for groundbreaking discussions and opportunities to provide input to CDC and other key stakeholders to accomplish the goal of cross-industry collaborations in healthcare IT.
