Montreal World Health Organization Simulation (MonWHO) is the only international conference of its kind providing a national platform for students from all disciplines across the country to discuss some of today’s most pressing global health issues. Meeting in the heart of Montreal, participants in this fully interactive conference assume the roles of: country ambassadors to the World Health Organization, non-governmental organization representatives, pharmaceutical representatives or journalists. This simulation provides a platform to negotiate and create new public policies to deal with current global health issues.

The theme this year, “Corruption in the Healthcare System,” covers a pervasive global health issue that affects all countries regardless of economic status. Corruption takes many forms, from over-payment for medical services to the millions of global citizens not receiving desperately needed treatment due to theft of medical supplies or distribution of counterfeit drugs.
