Body Shop Fitness Center Frequently Asked Questions
While we don’t offer traditional personal training, all members can receive free consultations with our Fitness Specialists. These interns are upperclassmen in our department who have completed important Kinesiology coursework and are preparing for careers in the health/fitness industry. Fitness Specialists will be available to perform walk-in fitness assessments, demonstrate proper use of equipment, provide exercise training programs, assist with workouts, and help you achieve your fitness goals.
The lockers in Totman are managed by Campus Recreation. Please contact them at (413)545-0022 or (413)545-2693 for any questions.
You schedule an appointment with a fitness specialist at the front desk. Walk-in appointments are also available if schedule allows. Please call ahead for this.
The Body Shop is not associated with Campus Recreation. Student fees cover the cost of Campus Recreation use for undergraduates. Graduate Students, Faculty, and Staff can pay a separate fee to use Campus Recreation facilities including the pool. Please contact Campus Recreation in 215 Boyden or at (413)545-0022 for further questions.
Fitness assessments consist of a series of tests to determine your current level of physical fitness. One free fitness assessment per semester is included with all memberships. Additional assessments can be purchased as requested. Non-members can also purchase fitness assessments.
