Student Research

The Department of Kinesiology provides students with a variety of resources and opportunities to participate in, conduct and present their research at regional, national and international conferences. Our faculty members provide guidance and mentorship in leading-edge research from the molecular to the community level.

Many of our undergraduate students present at the New England Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine’s annual meeting, as well as the Commonwealth’s Undergraduate Research Conference, among other events. Our graduate students are encouraged to present their research nationally and internationally and to submit findings for publication in peer-reviewed scholarly journals.

SPHHS Research Day

This event is held each year to provide an opportunity for the university, media and surrounding communities, as well as faculty, staff and peers within the School of Public Health and Health Sciences to learn more about the research, instruction and outreach efforts being conducted by our students. On this day, students from all departments within the SPHHS present posters of their work in a faculty-juried poster session. For more information, visit the School’s Student Research page.
